ሰው አፈር ነው አሉ – ታጥቦ የማይጠራ

They said that man is dust – he cannot be washed

እድፍ የሞላበት – ከጭቃ የተሰራ

 Stained – made of mud

ሁልጊዜ የሚረሳ ስህተት የሚሰራ

Always making a mistake

ሁሌ የሚያማርር፣ የሚያምጽ፣  የሚሰርቅ፣ ሰዎችን የሚገድል፣ ዝሙት የሚሰራ፣

One who always complains, rebels, steals, kills people, commits adultery,

ለነብሱ ያደረ አምላኩን የማይፈራ፣

Devoted to his servants, who does not fear his God,

ሰው ደረቅ ነው አሉ ስህተቱን የማያምን፣

They say that a man is dry who does not believe his mistakes.

በጥፋቱ ችክ የሚል ስህተቱን የማያምን

He does not believe in his mistake

እንደውም የሚጥር ሌሎችን ለማሳመን

In fact, trying to convince others

ሰው ሸክላ ነው አሉ – ድንገት ተሰባሪ

They say that man is clay – suddenly fragile

 ቀኑ ከደረሰ መነሳት የማይችል እዛው ወድቆ ቀሪ

 When the day comes, he can’t get up and he falls down and remains

ሰው ህልም ነው አሉ – ታይቶ ማይጨበጥ

They said that man is a dream – unrealizable

 ቃል ኪዳኑን አፍርሶ – በሌላ የሚለውጥ

 He breaks his promise – he changes it with another

ሰው ዝንብ ነው አሉ – ከክፉውም ከደጉም ከሁሉም አራፊ

They said that man is a fly – the slayer of all the bad and the good

 መዘዝን ሰብሳቢ – በሽታን ጠላፊ፣

 Collector of Consequences – Destroyer of Disease,

ሰው እሳት ነው አሉ -ለብልቦ ሚያቃጥል

They say that a person is a fire – one that burns the heart

 በአይን ተጋርፎ – በግልምጫ የሚጥል

 Blinded by the eye

ሰው ጊንጥ ነው አሉ – መርዛም ተናዳፊ

They said that man is a scorpion – venomous

 በምላሱ ብቻ – የሰውን ስም አጥፊ

 Only with his tongue – a person’s reputation

ሰው ጅብ ነው አሉ – ሆዳም እራስ ወዳድ

They said that man is a hysteric – gluttonous and selfish

 ጥቅም ከለመደ እውነትን የሚክድ።

 He who denies the truth if he is used to advantage.

ግና አንዳንድ ሰውም አለ ብርቱ አምላኩን ተገዥ፣

But there are some people who obey the mighty God.

አንዳንድ ሰው አለ ስለ ሁሉ ታጋሽ

There are some people who are patient about everything

ስህተቱን የሚያርም፣ ለሰው የሚራራ፣ ብቻውን የማይበላ፣ ዝሙት የማይሰራ፣ የማይዋሽ፣ የማይሰርቅ፣

He who corrects his wrongs, who is kind to people, who does not eat alone, who does not commit adultery, who does not lie, who does not steal,

ማንም ሰው ሳይሰማው ሀጥያቱን ተናዛዥ፣ ሌሊት የማይተኛ ጸሎት እያረገ ለአምላኩ አልቃሽ።

Confessing his sins in private, crying to his God in prayer without sleeping at night.

ከልቡ ሰው አለ ለሰው ተቆርቋሪ፣ ምድር ላይ የሚኖር የአምላክ አንባሳደር።

There is a person who cares for people in his heart, an ambassador of God who lives on earth.

ስለዚህ በዚህ ምድር ላይ ጥሩ ሰዎች አሉና ተስፋ አትቁረጥ።

So don’t despair, for there are good people on this earth,

ሁሉንም ሰው በተመሳሳይ መጠን አትፍረዱ።

Don’t judge everyone by the same measure,

በጨለማው መካከል ብርሃን ያበራል ፣

Amidst the darkness, there shines a light,

ትክክል የሆነውን ለማድረግ በሚጥሩ ሰዎች ልብ ውስጥ።

In the hearts of those who strive to do what’s right.

ምንም እንኳን መንገዱ እርግጠኛ ያልሆነ እና ገደላማ ቢመስልም ፣

Though the path may seem uncertain and steep,

ደግነትን የሚዘሩ እንጂ የማያጭዱ አሉ።

There are those who sow seeds of kindness, not reap,

ለእያንዳንዱ የጭካኔ ድርጊት፣ የጸጋ ተግባር አለ፣

For every act of cruelty, there’s an act of grace,

በሰፊው የሰው ታፔላ፣ እጅግ በጣም ብዙ የሆነ ፊት አለ።

In the vast human tapestry, there’s a myriad of face.

ስለዚህ በሰው ልጅ ችግር ላይ ተስፋ አንቆርጥ።

So let us not lose hope in humanity’s plight,

በጥላው መካከል፣ አሁንም የብርሃን ጭላንጭል አለ፣

For amidst the shadows, there’s still a glimmer of light,

ከጥላቻ ይልቅ ፍቅርን በሚመርጡ ሰዎች ልብ ውስጥ።

In the hearts of those who choose love over hate,

ለመቀነስ እንቢ ባሉ ሰዎች ነፍስ ውስጥ።

In the souls of those who refuse to abate.

ስለዚህ ተስፋ አትቁረጡ, ደግነት አሁንም ያሸንፋል.

So don’t despair, for goodness still prevails,

ታሪክ በያዘው የድፍረት ታሪኮች ውስጥ፣

In the stories of courage that history entails,

ለእያንዳንዱ ባለጌ፣ በቁመት የቆመ ጀግና አለ፣

For every villain, there’s a hero standing tall,

በህይወት ሲምፎኒ ውስጥ ለሁሉም የሚሆን ዜማ አለ።

In the symphony of life, there’s a melody for all.”
