This section reviews the greetings and small talk we started with. It introduces the useful phrase “ደስ ብሎኛል” (I am happy).

እንደ (like/as) vs እንዴት (how). Don’t confuse them!• እንዴት ነሽ? = How are you?
• ደህና እንደሆነች ሰማሁ። = I heard that she is fine. (lit. “as she is fine”)
