1. Amharic adjectives come before and after nouns, after pronouns, before be verbs, and after main verbs. Most of the time, they precede the noun they describe. For example:

• እሱ ጎበዝ ተማሪ ነው። He is an outstanding student.
• እሷ ጥሩ ሰው ናት። She is a good-hearted woman.
• ይሄ አሪፍ ነው። This one is good.
• ይህን ነገር የሚያውቀው ብልህ ሰው ብቻ ነው። Only a wise person knows this.
• ቴክኖሎጅ ወሳኝ እና ጨዋታ ቀያሪ ነው። Technology is crucial and a game changer. 

2. Adjectives can be singular or plural, just like nouns. For example:

• እዚህ ሰፈር የሚያማምሩ ቤቶች አሉ። There are beautiful houses in this neighborhood.
• እሱ ሰነፍ ነው። He is lazy.
• እነሱ ሰነፎች ናቸው። They are lazy.
• እሷ ሰነፍ ናት። She is lazy.
• ትላልቆቹን ዛፎች ቁረጣቸው። Cut down the big trees.
• ትላልቁን ዛፍ ቁረጠው። Cut down the big trees.
