To say “Give me” or “Here you go” in Amharic
How to Say ‘Give me’ and ‘Here You Go‘ in Amharic?
To say ‘Give me’ in Amharic, we say the following:
- ስጠኝ / Stegn. Give me. (When we ask something from a male.)
- ስጭኝ / Schign. Give me. (When we ask something from a female.)
- ስጡኝ / Stugn. Give me. (When we ask something from the plural.)
ምሳሌ:- Example:
ትንሽ ጊዜ ስጠኝ። Tnsh gizie stegn. Give me some time.
ትንሽ ምግብ ስጭኝ። Tnsh mgb schign. Give me some food.
እድል ስጡኝ። Edl stugn. Give me a chance.
To say ‘here you go / are in Amharic:
- ይሄው = Here you are. / Here you go.
- እንካ = Here you go. / Here you are.
- እንኪ = Here you go. / Here you are. (ለሴት)
- እንች/ቺ = Here you go. / Here you are. (ለሴት)
- እንኩ = Here you go. / Here you are. (ፎርማል)
እሰጥሃለሁ / I will give you.
እሰጥሻለሁ። / I will give you.
ይሰጥሃል / He will give you.
ይሰጣል / He gives.
Negative
አልሰጥም Alsetm I don’t give
አይሰጥም Aysetm. He doesn’t give.
አትሰጥም Atsetm. She doesn’t give.
