1. ሀሜት = Gossip 

ሀሜት ምን እንደሆነ ታውቃላችሁ? (Do you know what gossip is?)

ሀሜት ማለት አንድ ሰው በሌለበት ቦታ እሱን በመጥፎ ነገር እያነሱ ማውራት ነው። (Gossip is talking negatively about someone in their absence.)

2. ሀብት = Wealth 

ይህ ሰው ብዙ ሀብት አለው። (This person has a lot of wealth.)

3. ሀይማኖት = Religion 

ኢትዮጵያ ብዙ ሃይማኖቶች ያሉባት ሀ/አገር ናት። Ethiopia is a country with many religions.

4. ሀይለኛ = Strong/Powerful 

ንፋሱ በጣም ሀይለኛ ነው። (The wind is so strong.)

5. ሀላፊነት = Responsibility 

ልጆችን ማሳደግ ትልቅ ሀላፊነት ነው። (Raising children is a big responsibility.)

6. ሀዘን = Sorrow/Grief 

የቅርብ ጓደኛዬን በማጣቴ ሀዘን ተሰምቶኛል። (I felt sorrow in losing my close friend.)

7. ሀረግ = Vine 

በግድግዳው ላይ ያደገው ሀረግ ቤቱን ውብ አድርጎታል። (The vine that grew on the wall made the house beautiful.)

8. ሀፍረት = Shame/Embarrassment 

 ስህተት በመሥራቴ ሀፍረት ተሰምቶኛል። (I felt shame for making a mistake.)

9. ሀብታም = Rich/Wealthy 

እሱ በጣም የታወቀ ሀብታም ቢሆንም ትሁት ነው። (He is very famously wealthy, yet humble.)

10. ሀሳብ = Idea/Thought 

አሁን ጥሩ ሀሳብ አግኝቻለሁ! (I have got a good idea now!)

11. ሀጢአት = Sin

በድብቅ ያደረከው ሀጢአት አንድ ቀን ይጋለጣል። (The sin you committed in secret will one day be exposed.)
